CDD Vault Update (June #2 2025): Bulk Register Sequences with Custom Monomers, Set X-axis Ranges in Plots, Filter AI Bioisostere Suggestions, Inventory Debits from ELN
Bulk register single-stranded DNA and RNA sequences with custom monomers:
You can now bulk import nucleic acid therapeutics such as mRNA, Antisense oligonucleotides (ASOs), Gapmers, Aptamers, miRNA Modulators, CRISPR guides, Gene therapy, primers, and more. During a bulk import, upload a secondary SDF file containing a custom library of nucleotide monomers by dropping the file on the ‘custom peptides/custom nucleotides’ link. Clicking the hyperlink will show a pop up with the rendered custom monomers.
Click on a rendered sequence to review its full chemical structure and attachment sites before proceeding to the usual CDD Vault entity registration process. This CDD Vault Knowledgebase article has more detailed information.
Set X-axis Range:
The Plot readout definition form now allows users to set an x-axis range. Just like the previously added y-axis range settings, users can use “Customize my report” in a search report table to display plots using the range set at the protocol level.
Filter AI Bioisostere Suggestions:
When suggesting bioisosteres using the AI module, users can filter the resulting suggestions by four different categories:
- All - see all suggestions
- Internal - show molecules that have already been registered in your CDD Vault
- External - show molecules that exist in other databases (Chembl, SureChembl, Enamine, CDD Public)
- Novel - show molecules without IDs from CDD Vault or other external databases
Inventory Debits from an ELN Entry:
Link to registered samples using the “@” lookup symbol and type the sample ID, or use another identifier and navigate to the desired sample by expanding molecule and batch sections in the tree. Hover over the sample link to display a test tube that links to the Inventory module. Make a debit from the linked sample directly from your ELN entry. Debiting can only be done for one sample at a time currently.
